Rare pair of museum quality Bohemian carved and painted wood angels, or putti, in flight. These figures were once part of a cathedral, probably in Bohemia or Germany. Both figures are carved in a life-like manner with open mouths and pointing fingers. Flesh toned bodies, gold wings and flowing draperies. They are extremely well done and very early, the female 17th century and the male figure 17th or early 18th century.
